With two players taken in the 2020 NFL Draft, Tennessee football expects to be stronger next year. Here are the 10 best Volunteers prospects.

Darrell Taylor was taken in the second round, Jauan Jennings was taken in the seventh round, four other players signed deals with NFL teams, and all six of those guys are officially former Vols. Now, with the 2020 season around the corner for Tennessee football, it’s all about focusing on the returning players.

Jeremy Pruitt clearly has lots of returning talent, and he’d like for the program to reach a level of success that allows it to fill the draft boards with many more prospects than this past year. Of course, given his recent success on the recruiting trail, the future looks pretty bright on that front.

Anyway, if Tennessee football improves even beyond its eight wins from this past season, the Vols have a huge group of seniors and even juniors who will be eligible to become draft prospects in 2021. As a result, the group could be much deeper.

Just how deep could it get? And who would lead the way? In this post, we’re going to take a look at those players with the most NFL Draft potential for 2021 coming out of Rocky Top. There are lots more people who will be eligible next year, but the productivity level may be in question.

Although talent is key, that’s not the sole criteria. Obviously, these are not the people we project to necessarily be the best players on the Vols this upcoming year, as some of those players won’t be eligible for the draft.

We also have to project which players have a better chance to stand out this upcoming year, whether they play at a position with limited depth or they play at a position that carries more weight among pro scouts. All of these things have to come into play.

There is also a good chance this changes by next year, as we still don’t know who will stand out the most this upcoming season. So taking that into account which players right now are in good position for next year? Let’s break that down. These are Tennessee football’s top 10 players with the most potential for the 2021 NFL Draft.
