9. Scott Wells

Offensive Lineman; 2004-2014

Teams played for:

  • Green Bay Packers (2010-2011)
  • St. Louis Rams (2012-2014)

Accolades:

  • Pro Bowl (2011)
  • Super Bowl Championship (2010)

Both Scott Wells and Chad Clifton were offensive linemen starting for the Green Bay Packers when they won the Super Bowl with Aaron Rodgers at the beginning of the season. They each earned a Pro Bowl this decade as well. However, Clifton is the only Pro Bowler to not make the list because he only played for two years in this decade. The bulk of his career was in the 2000s.

Wells, meanwhile, is one of the greatest NFL Draft steals of all time from Tennessee football. He came out in the seventh round in 2004 and turned into a regular at center. During this decade, he won a Super Bowl his first year and then made a Pro Bowl his second year. That level of production already made him a candidate on here.

However, after that, Wells spent three years with the St. Louis Rams and was a starter every year. Being able to do that allowed him to get on this list. He had a five-year body of work and plenty of starts in addition to winning a championship and making a Pro Bowl.

And he did all of that in just half of a decade. So remember, he had already established himself in the previous decade, building a solid career. You can’t ask for much more from a guy who was a seventh rounder.
