7. Ramon Foster

Offensive Lineman (2009-2019)

Teams played for:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers (2010-2019)

He’s the one guy on here who didn’t make any Pro Bowls, win a championship or earn any individual accolades. But Ramon Foster is the overachieving model of consistency that everybody should appreciate. His leadership and dedication with the Pittsburgh Steelers made him a great NFL player despite what he was expected to do.

Foster’s end to his time with Tennessee football was the 2008 campaign. Amidst the 5-7 season, he was the one to call out the fans, administration and media for Phillip Fulmer’s firing, saying that Fulmer should be able to go out on his own terms. He made sure to finish his career right, playing hard until the last snap, but he then went undrafted in 2009.

The Steelers picked him up, and he saw action in 14 games. By the end of 2010, though, he had become a full-time starter at right guard. He ended up starting 141 games this decade, only missing time when he was hurt, and he was one of the vocal leaders of the Steelers during this time, even beyond what was expected of Ben Roethlisberger.

After a great run, he retired at the end of this past year. However, starting every year for a team this past decade is more than enough to earn him a spot on this list, and we’re doing that with him here. There are very few players who deserve the respect for their commitment like he does.
