Arguably the greatest punter in Tennessee football history, Dustin Colquitt was always expected to be great this decade. Heck, he was drafted in the third round by the Kansas City Chiefs way back in 2005. Any punter drafted that high is expected to be great for a long time, and Colquitt has been proving that on a consistent basis.

In this decade, Colquitt has achieved numerous accomplishments. He had the longest punt of the year in the league for the second and third times in his career back in 2010 and 2017, as they went 72 and 77 yards respectively. On top of that, he has never failed to average under 44.3 yards per punt.

That type of production earned him two Pro Bowl appearance, when he averaged 46.8 yards per punt in 2012 and 45.1 yards per punt in 2016. He has also spent this entire time as the holder in the Chiefs’ kicking game, and with the way the rely on him, he could be a rare punter who reaches the Hall of Fame.

This past year, Colquitt’s loyalty to the team paid off. His average was at its lowest ever, but with such a high-powered offense, he was more needed for accuracy, and he delivered. As a result, he was able to walk away with a Super Bowl ring, putting a stamp on a great decade.
