6. player. Pick Analysis. 1995-1998. Years in NFL: 9. Peerless Price. 839. Scouting Report

Teams played for:

  • Buffalo Bills, 1999-2002
  • Atlanta Falcons, 2003-2004
  • Dallas Cowboys, 2005
  • Buffalo Bills, 2006-2007

When it comes to undersized receivers overachieving, Peerless Price takes it to a new level. Price was the No. 2 or No. 3 guy throughout the Peyton Manning years, and in 1998, he became Tennessee football’s  No. 1 guy despite being 5’11” 190 pounds with a much less accurate quarterback, Tee Martin, throwing him the ball.

All Price did that year was become the most impactful player per touch in school history, scoring a touchdown team the Vols played that year who made a bowl game and finishing the season with 920 yards and 10 touchdowns plus a kickoff return touchdown as UT won the national championship. Oh, he was also MVP of both the SEC and national title games.

With that production, Price was a second-round draft pick in 1999. He and Eric Moulds made an elite receiving tandem withe the Buffalo Bills, and he proved he could even be an undersized wideout in the pros. Price’s best season came in 2002, when he caught 94 passes for 1,252 yards and nine touchdowns.

After that, Price went to the Atlanta Falcons, and in 2004, he helped Michael Vick and co. reach the NFC Championship game. Following a one-year stint with the Dallas Cowboys in 2005, he spent his last two years back in Buffalo. Price went from being the most impactful receiver in UT history to a solid pro performer, catching 403 passes for 5,281 yards and 31 touchdowns in his career.
