Donté Stallworth. 5. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 1999-2001. Years in NFL: 10. 839

Teams played for:

  • New Orleans Saints, 2002-2005
  • Philadelphia Eagles, 2006
  • New England Patriots, 2007
  • Cleveland Browns, 2008
  • Baltimore Ravens, 2010
  • Washington Redskins, 2011
  • New England Patriots, 2012

As a speedy 6’0″ 197-pound receiver for Tennessee football, Donté Stallworth teamed up with Kelley Washington to make for an elite receiving duo, with Jason Witten at tight end, that helped the Vols to an 11-2 record and top five finish. Washington got all the hype as the head-case, but Stallworth was more of a team player, and he proved himself to be a better pro receiver.

Despite a bad incident that led to him spending time in jail and suffering a year-long suspension from the NFL in 2009, Stallworth was very productive for a variety of teams in the pros. In his first four years, he played for the New Orleans Saints, who took him in the first round, and he averaged 700 receiving yards and six touchdowns a season with Aaron Brooks at quarterback.

Stallworth then became a career journeyman. He had over 700 yards and five touchdowns with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2006, helping them get to the playoffs with Jeff Garcia starting in place of Donovan McNabb. In 2007, he 697 yards and three touchdowns with the New England Patriots, helping Tom Brady throw for 50 touchdowns as they went to the Super Bowl.

After that, Stallworth’s production dipped. He never had over 400 yards a season again in single seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, Washington Redskins and Patriots again in 2011. A second stint with the Redskins never materialized in 2013, and his career was over. However, he still had 321 catches for 4,837 yards and 35 touchdowns for his career.
