Pick Analysis. 10. player. Rashad Moore. 839. Scouting Report. 1999-2002. Years in NFL: 5

Teams played for:

  • Seattle Seahawks, 2003-2004
  • New York Jets, 2006
  • New England Patriots, 2007

This shows you that Tennessee football is a lot thinner at defensive tackle than other positions in the NFL. Rashad Moore only played four years in the pros despite being with five teams over a six-year period. In college, he only had one year as a starter. He was part of a unit that replaced the entire 2001 front four in 2002, and he was solid even as the Vols struggled to an 8-5 season.

Moore then went on to the pros. He was taken in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks and immediately became a standout player. After appearing in 14 games and starting in six of them, he had 30 total tackles and a sack, helping the franchise under Mike Holmgreen get back to the NFL Playoffs for the first time since 1999 with a 10-6 record.

In 2004, Moore became a full-time starter up front. He had his best year with 46 total tackles, two sacks, two pass deflections and three fumble recoveries, helping Seattle make a second straight playoff appearance.

The Seahawks released Moore in 2005, and he then signed with the Oakland Raiders in 2006 before being released and signing with the New York Jets instead. He then signed with the New England Patriots and appeared in one game.

After New England, Moore signed with the Atlanta Falcons in 2008 but didn’t appear in any games. Still, he finished his career appearing in 44 games overall, starting in 18 of them and coming away with 94 career tackles and three sacks.
