Top 10 NFL careers of Tennessee football DBs

During his four years with Tennessee football, DeRon Jenkins was a standout defensive back who started every season. He was recruited by Johnny Majors and had to go through the bitter transition from Majors to Phillip Fulmer in 1992, and with five interceptions in 1993 and four in 1995, he helped Rocky Top emerge back onto the national scene in the mid-1990s.
Jenkins’ play allowed him to be a second-round draft pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 1996, who were in their inaugural season after ending their run as the Cleveland Browns in 1995. At 5’11” 190 pounds, Jenkins brought a ton of potential to the table, and he appeared in 15 games as a rookie, starting in two of them.
By his second year, he became a full-time starter with the team. Jenkins spent the next three years as a starting cornerback in Baltimore. He then went to the San Diego Chargers for a year and finished his career with the Tennessee Titans. After that, he spent three years playing in the Arena Football League, one with the Austin Wranglers and two with the Nashville Kats.
Unfortunately for Jenkins, he never was able to make the playoffs during his run in the NFL. However, he appeared in 93 games and started in 50 of them. As a result, he had a solid run, and it was more than enough for us to put him on this list.
