  • Baltimore Ravens; 2010-2019

It’s not everyday a long snapper becomes famous in the pros, but Tennessee football has produced one of them throughout this past decade in Morgan Cox. After playing for the Vols for three years, snapping for punters Britton Colquitt and Chad Cunningham and place kicker Daniel Lincoln, who had an All-American campaign in 2007, he found a great pro career.

As a snapper, Cox obviously went undrafted. He inked a deal with the Baltimore Ravens in 2010, though, and immediately became their starting long snapper after the franchise released Matt Katula. Since then, Cox has never lost his starting job, and over the past decade, he helped Baltimore become famous for its elite kicking game.

Place kicker Justin Tucker and punter Sam Koch became superstars under Cox. Tucker nailed a 61-yarder in 2013, is a five-time All-Pro kicker, four-time first-team, made three Pro Bowls and also got on the NFL’s all-decade team for the 2010s. Koch, meanwhile, earned a Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro in 2015. Their success did not come without Cox snapping for them.

When it comes to Cox himself, he’s earned his own recognition. The guy made Pro Bowls in 2015, 2016 and 2019, and he also won a Super Bowl on the 2012 team. Simply put, he has been a star snapping specialist in the NFL, and it’s rare when a guy like that can be so high on this list. But given his success, Cox has earned his spot on here.
