Evaluating Tennessee football’s 2021 LB class at dead period
Commitments
Terrence Lewis
- Ratings: Five-star (ESPN); Four-star (Rivals, 247Sports)
- Size: 6’1″ 200 Pounds
- Hometown: Hollywood, Fla.
- High School: Chaminade Madonna
One of Tennessee football’s best commitments for 2021, Terrence Lewis initially committed to the Florida Gators in January of 2019 before decommitting in April of 2019. Everybody loves seeing the Vols steal a recruit from UF.
Anyway, Lewis committed to Rocky Top back on April 30, continuing what was a strong run for Jeremy Pruitt and co. during that time. He keeps a pipeline that Chris Weinke is beginning to establish into the state of Florida, and he could be a major impact player very soon.
Aaron Willis
- Ratings: Four-star (Unanimous)
- Size: 6’0″ 200 pounds
- Hometown: Baltimore, Md.
- High School: St. Frances
Speaking of pipelines, the Vols have been making strong headway into St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Md., and Aaron Willis is among three recruits from there. He and teammate KaTron Evans, a four-star defensive tackle, both committed to UT on May 10 and May 9 respectively.
Because of that one school, Pruitt has established a pipeline into the Maryland area and DMV in general at this point. Four-star defensive tackle Dominic Bailey in the 2020 class was from that school as well. Willis continues that tradition of elite recruits from there to head to Rocky Top.
Kaemen Marley (Athlete)
- Ratings: Four-star (Unanimous)
- Size: 6’3″ 215 pounds
- Hometown: Ramseur, N.C.
- High School: Eastern Randolph
We probably shouldn’t have him on here, as Kaemen Marley could play wide receiver, safety or linebacker, and wide receiver is likely his top spot. However, the North Carolina prospect who committed to Tennessee football back on May 20 could also provide some value at linebacker, and his 6’3″ size could make him a great fit to play inside or be an edge rusher if he plays there.
