Other top prospects part 2

MJ Daniels (Athlete on Rivals)

  • Ratings: Three-star (Unanimous)
  • Size: 6’3″ 191 pounds
  • Hometown: Lucedale, Miss.
  • High School: George County

An Ole Miss Rebels decommitment who is listed as an athlete, MJ Daniels is likely to play cornerback and brings great size to the position. The Vols just made his top six. Coming out of Mississippi, Ole Miss is still a unanimous favorite to land him on the Rivals Future Cast, but there are no 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, so his recruitment is clearly wide open right now.

Da’Quan Gonzales (Athlete on Rivals)

  • Ratings: Three-star (Unanimous)
  • Size: 5’10” 175 pounds
  • Hometown: Jensen Beach, Fla.
  • High School: Jensen Beach

Another two-way star in high school, Da’Quan Gonzales included Tennessee football in his top 10 in May. Gonzales is clearly a cornerback, though, if he plays defense, and the Florida prospect is another player whose recruitment is wide open with no favorites on the Rivals Future Cast or 247Sports Crystal Ball, so watch for what UT does with him.

Damond Harmon

  • Ratings: Three-star (Unanimous)
  • Size: 6’0″ 170 pounds
  • Hometown: Highland Springs, Va.
  • High School: Highland Springs

Here is another cornerback who included the Vols in his top five. However, the Oklahoma Sooners are the unanimous favorites to land the Virginia prospect on the Rivals Future Cast and the 247Sports Crystal Ball. As a result, UT is somewhat playing from behind to land Damond Harmon although they are a finalist for him. He would be a solid pickup for them, though.
