player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Center. Redshirt Sophomore. 5. Uros Plavsic. 534

Size: 7’0″ 240 pounds; Hometown: Ivanjica, Serbia

Another overseas player who went to high school in the states, Uros Plavsic actually went to Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tenn. However, he initially committed to the Arizona State Sun Devils, then he transferred, after his freshman season.

After being rejected initially in his eligibility waiver request, the NCAA changed its mind midseason, and Plavsic played most of the conference slate. Because of all this, Plavsic wasn’t in the best condition to immediately thrive with Tennessee basketball, but he still averaged over two and a half points and just under one rebound in barely over seven minutes a game.

With more experience, Plavsic is likely to emerge and be a key guy this year. Similar to Victor Bailey, we have Plavsic penciled in as a sure No. 2 guy, one in which he would back up John Fulkerson at center. Because of us betting that he will be a regular rotation guy, we have him high on the list.

The fact of the matter is you can’t teach height and size, and Plavsic already has the measurables of an NBA center. Combine that with his increased production, and he probably has the best chance of any sure bench player on Rocky Top to leave early for the 2021 NBA Draft. However, it’s still unlikely that he does leave, even if he’s in the top half of these rankings.
