Projected starting inside linebackers

Henry To’o To’o; Sophomore; 6’2″ 235 pounds; Sacramento, Calif.

A surprise National Signing Day commitment out of De La Salle High School in Northern California. Henry To’o To’o immediately became a starter in Tennessee football’s opener in place of Daniel Bituli, who was injured and missed the first two games. This is partially why the Vols started 0-2. When Bituli returned, though, To’o To’o got better over time.

To’o To’o finished with 72 tackles, five tackles for a loss, Freshman All-SEC and FreshmanAll-American honors, and then stepped in when Bituli got hurt again in the Gator Bowl, helping the Vols come back to beat the Indiana Hoosiers 23-22. Now, he is poised to lead the linebacker corps. with tons of preseason accolades. He has become a potential star and is the top player on here.

Quavaris Crouch; Sophomore; 6’2″ 241 pounds; Charlotte, N.C.

Coming out of Harding University in North Carolina, Quavaris Crouch is one of the versatile players in Jeremy Pruitt’s system who truly can play all four positions. He was also used as the Vols’ goal-line power back since they didn’t have anybody who could play the position last year. This year, though, Crouch should be destined to take over a starting role.

As a reserve in 2019, Crouch finished with 28 tackles and one tackle for a loss. He broke up two passes and had four quarterback hurries. This year, he could take a giant step forward complementing To’o To’o with such a need to replace Bituli. Given his size and versatility, Derrick Ansley could be very creative with Crouch.
