Here is our stock report for the Tennessee football Volunteers after Week 5 of 2020.

There wouldn’t seem like many negatives to point to after Tennessee football dominated the Missouri Tigers 35-12 this past Saturday. However, the Vols weren’t perfect by any means, and ahead of their matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs, there are aspects of the team that could definitely be concerning.

As we have already discussed, Mizzou was only two dropped passes away from having the ball in the fourth quarter down only 28-21 before that interception. If you take away all the times the Vols had to convert on fourth down, the Tigers could have even had the lead.

It’s safe to say this is a game of inches that comes down to four or five plays, and Tennessee football proved that more than ever over the weekend. Just a few plays could have completely changed the outcome of the game.

In our stock report following Rocky Top’s second game of the year, the positives are actually pretty obvious. Well, one positive is obvious. Like we usually do, we separate  stocks by stocks that are up, stocks that are down, stocks to buy and stocks to sell. A stock could be anything as well: a player, a coach, a position unit or an overall aspect of the game.

Just because something is a positive or a negative, though, doesn’t mean we’ll have it in our stock up or stock down list. They could be things we consider overvalued or undervalued just due to one game, and as a result, we could list them as things to buy or sell.

However, some are blatantly obvious, and they were so strong one way that we have to project they’ll continue in that vain going forward. Let’s go ahead and dive in with where everything stands after Jeremy Pruitt’s team’s 2-0 start. This is our Tennessee football stock report following Week 5 of the 2020 season.
