Remember how old Peyton Manning looked his final year in the NFL? He suffered through multiple injuries and clearly didn’t look like he had the body to play anymore. Tennessee football fans all mourned when he hung it up.
Well, somehow, age has done The Sheriff well. The past decade may have seen him go through four neck surgeries and suffer a torn plantar fascia, but over four years into retirement, he looks like he’s still playing.
A picture of Peyton Manning shirtless at the beach was made public on Wednesday. Somehow, the guy was rocking a six-pack, which nobody thought he had when he played. Justin Ramos revealed a picture on Twitter.
According to TMZ, Manning was on a family trip to Miami. There’s another picture of him throwing a football, and Page Six has another pic of him throwing the ball. But what stands out is how Manning looked.
Throughout his playing days, Manning had very few pictures of him shirtless. However, it was safe to assume that he never had the strict workout regimen Tom Brady had, and he didn’t seem to have the strict diet.
As a result, seeing Manning look like this is a bit shocking to everybody. Now we are left wondering if he always had that physique or if he has worked on it more ever since he has gone into retirement.
Of course, perhaps the balance he had between staying in shape and studying film during his playing days has now all be channeled into staying in shape. Maybe the overexaggeration of his lack of athleticism is what led to the assumption that he’s not built like this.
