Jarrett Guarantano threw pick-sixes on back to back drives in the second quarter. Then JT Shrout came in and threw another interception. That spotted the Kentucky Wildcats a 17-0 lead, putting the Vols in serious trouble.

Allen Dailey Jr. catches touchdown pass

This play helped put the Kentucky Wildcats in control. On their first drive of the second half, they drove down the field up 17-7. On 3rd and 1, Terry Wilson threw a fade to Allen Dailey Jr., and Dailey got away with a bit of a push-off to come down with the touchdown reception. The extra point gave UK a three-possession lead.

Christopher Rodriguez Jr. clinches game with touchdown run

Late in the game, Kentucky was in complete control. By this point, the Vols’ rush defense had given up as well. As a result, the Wildcats marched down the field and scored another touchdown, with Christopher Rodriguez Jr. running it in for the knockout punch.
