These will be the key Hogs players against the Tennessee football Volunteers.

There are no excuses for Tennessee football on Saturday. Despite being 2-3 and on a three-game losing streak, the Vols are coming off a bye week and have had ample time to prepare for the Arkansas Razorbacks, who also have a 2-3 record.

Combining the time off with Jim Chaney being so familiar with Sam Pittman should give the Vols lots of advantages, even if the Hogs are playing much better this year than anybody expected. UT should be ready for everything Pittman, Kendal Briles and Barry Odom throw at them.

What nobody saw coming at the beginning of the year is that the Hogs actually have quite a few talented players, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. It’s incredible what one coaching staff change can do for players, and Tennessee football has lots of people to worry about.

As we get set to break down the key players the Vols need to watch out for when they visit Fayetteville, Ark. on Saturday, we’ll look at the best players on the Razorbacks but also the ones who pose the biggest matchup problems for Rocky Top. There’s also a bit of history to look at when naming a couple of players, which we’ll get to.

Obviously, there is one major strength for the Hogs, and that will show up in the players we name. There may be a surprise or two on this list as well, though, so keep an eye out for everybody who could be a threat to the Vols on Saturday. We could see plenty of heroes be made in this game.

Which athletes stand out the most? How dangerous could they be? Where can they exploit the Vols’ weaknesses? Let’s go ahead and analyze all of that here. These are the five Arkansas Razorbacks to watch for when they host Tennessee football on Saturday.
