These are Tennessee football Volunteers’ away victories all time against the Hogs.

When the Arkansas Razorbacks joined the SEC in 1992, they immediately became one of the two annual inter-divisional rivalries for Tennessee football. These schools faced each other every year from 1992 to 2002.

Beyond that 11-year run, they had met in two bowl games before the Hogs joined the league and one time in Memphis way back in 1907. Since that run, they’ve met four times, in 2006, 2007, 2011 and most recently in 2015.

Although the Hogs have won the last two, Tennessee football leads the all-time series 13-5 and went 9-2 during that 11-year run when they played each other every year. However, it’s a different story for these two schools when they meet in Arkansas.

Rocky Top will be looking for just its fifth win all time against the Razorbacks on the road Saturday. Of course, it’s hard to count games as road or home wins or losses this year given the way the pandemic has limited stadium capacity, but it technically is a road game.

Before the two schools meet on Saturday, we’re going to look back on those road wins the Vols have enjoyed against Arkansas. UT is 4-3 against them all-time on the road, 3-0 in neutral site games and 6-2 at home.

The last time the Vols played Arkansas in Fayetteville, Bobby Petrino’s team dominated Derek Dooley 49-7, and the Hogs’ Joe Adams became a decade-long gif for this punt return TD that exposed horrible UT tackling. In 1999, Arkansas got revenge for the Clint Stoerner fumble game in 1998 and came back to win 28-24, ruining UT’s chances at back to back national titles.

UT’s only other loss at Arkansas was in 2006, when Darren McFadden ran for 181 yards and two touchdowns while Felix Jones added 72 yards. But what about the games the Vols won? How memorable were they? Let’s look back on them here. This is our ranking of Tennessee football’s four wins on the road against the Razorbacks by how memorable they were.
