The Ole Miss Rebels are among many teams to have their most recent win be against the Vanderbilt Commodores. However, they almost beat the Auburn Tigers the week before that, and they still have that impressive win over the Kentucky Wildcats. Scoring a lot on the Florida Gators and Alabama Crimson Tide looks pretty impressive now as well.

Anyway, former Tennessee football head coach Lane Kiffin should feel good about the situation this team is in despite its 2-4 record. They are playing above their level in his first year, and coming off a bye week this past week, they could have a big advantage going forward. A bit of rest was just what they needed to try to get ready for a strong finish to the year.

This offense doesn’t seem like it’s going to slow down any time soon. Kiffin has a litany of weapons and continue to prove his acumen on that side of the ball. Regardless of what happens the rest of the way, this is one of the most fun teams to watch with one of the most fun personalities out there.

Up next for the Rebels is a home game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. That should be a winnable fight. They do visit the Texas A&M Aggies, but then they have another likely win at home against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. That gets them to 4-5 with a chance to finish .500 against the next team in these SEC Power Rankings.
