With a scheduled bye and a season-adjusted bye earlier in the year, the LSU Tigers have been wildly consistent. They lose a game, and then they win a game. It’s pretty much that simple, regardless of which team they are playing against. Ed Orgeron’s team is just alternating wins and losses on a week to week basis.

Well, with a 2-3 record, this team has real issues. Its last outing was a 48-11 loss to the Auburn Tigers. LSU is still one of only two teams to lose to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Simply put, these guys belong near the bottom of our SEC Power Rankings, but the struggles of other teams put them near the middle of the pack for right now.

You could point to the defensive issues that have existed since the beginning of the year with Bo Pelini. However, in their last outing, the offense was beginning to make mistakes as well. Quarterback appears to be a major issue for this team, and mistakes continue to plague them in every game they play. Where do they go from here?

It only gets harder at first. Up next is a home game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, they then visit the Arkansas Razorbacks before visiting the Texas A&M Aggies, hosting the Ole Miss Rebels and visiting the Florida Gators. As a result, they look likely to alternating games again at the end of the year to finish with a 4-6 record.
