Tennessee football: Five Auburn Tigers to watch for against Vols

There’s not really a matchup issue here. Tank Bigsby just happens to be the Auburn Tigers’ best offensive weapon and really their best weapon overall. The true freshman out of Callaway High School in Georgia does a little bit of everything for this team, so he naturally would make the list.
Bigsby has 89 carries for 503 yards on the year, averaging more than five and a half yards a carry, to go with five touchdowns. He also has 11 catches for 84 yards. Add in the fact that he’s their main kickoff returner, and it’s easy to see why he’s such a deadly weapon for Gus Malzahn.
It took a bit of time for Bigsby to get going, as he had only 15 yards against the Kentucky Wildcats and 31 yards against the Georgia Bulldogs. However, he had over 100 yards in three straight games after that, and while he only had 71 yards against the LSU Tigers, he still managed to score two touchdowns.
Against the Ole Miss Rebels, Bigsby also appeared to return a kickoff for a touchdown, but it was called back to to a bad holding penalty. Still, he’s an elite weapon, and Tennessee football will have to account for him at all times.
