Here is our Tennessee football Volunteers stock report after losing at the Tigers.

It’s all bad news when you look at the state of the Tennessee football program right now. A 2-5 record, a five-game losing streak and bad losses to the Kentucky Wildcats and Arkansas Razorbacks has Jeremy Pruitt on the hottest of hot seats, and the pandemic’s effects on the year won’t change that at all.

After a 30-17 loss at the Auburn Tigers, though, certain aspects of the team aren’t really bad news right now. In fact, when you consider the fact that the Vols were roughly four mistakes away from winning the game, you could point to a lot of aspects that weren’t problematic at all.

As we get set to dish out our stock report for Tennessee football heading into another unplanned bye week, we’ll take a look at what to do with those aspects that caused the loss going forward. Some of them may be providing a slight bit of hope for the future.

To be fair, some of them are part of a recurring theme all year and worthy of scorn now just as much as they were two weeks ago. There can be stocks that you hold out hope for rising and never do, and that’s certainly the case on Rocky Top right now.

Just like we have done in the past, our stock report for Rocky Top will have separate slides for stocks that are up, stocks that are down, stocks to buy and stocks to sell. They can include anything, from players to coaches to positions units to aspects of position units.

Where does all of this stand after what happened on Saturday? Let’s go ahead and break that down here. This is our stock report for Tennessee football following the Vols’ loss to the Auburn Tigers in Week 12 of the 2020 season.
