Scouting Report. Linebacker. Sophomore. 2. Pick Analysis. Quavaris Crouch. player. 839

6’2″ 235 pounds; Hometown: Charlotte, N.C.

Alongside fellow sophomore inside linebacker Henry To’o to’o, Quavaris Crouch has put together a decent second year in Knoxville. With 15 solo and 36 total tackles through seven games, he’s already surpassed the 12 solo and 27 regular season tackle mark he set last year as a freshman.

On Saturday, he’ll be sure to cross paths with one of the more dominant forces in college football today. At 6’6″ and 246 pounds, Florida tight end Kyle Pitts has been a problem for every defense he’s encountered. It’s Crouch’s physique that lands him on this list over the other Tennessee football linebackers and even nickel cornerbacks.

Crouch will unlikely be able to cover him effectively. His 513 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns indicate no one else has. However, his best shot at slowing the playmaker down is with physicality on every play.

Aside from Florida’s stellar tight end, they also have a healthy run game to go along with their aerial weaponry. Gators junior running back Dameon Pierce has received the majority of the carries in Gainesville, racking up 412 yards and three touchdowns in a pretty pass-heavy offense. Florida’s offense will force Crouch to be a physical presence. Look for him to be all over the field.
