Defeated South Carolina Gamecocks 45-16
It took a while, but the Georgia Bulldogs have finally found a consistent offense with J.T. Daniels running the show. Sure, his numbers aren’t through the roof, but he brings balance and allows the Dawgs to overwhelm opponents in multiple ways. That’s what propelled them to a huge win over the South Carolina Gamecocks this past weekend.
Given the fact that the Mississippi State Bulldogs are clearly improving, they don’t have to be too upset about struggling to put them away either now. This isn’t the same team that fell apart in the second half against the Florida Gators, and Kirby Smart would likely do anything to have that back. This remains a top tier team in our SEC Power Rankings in fourth place.
The Dawgs are the best team with multiple losses and not in the running for the College Football Playoff in the league. However, they technically are still in play for the East, even if they need Tennessee football and the LSU Tigers to pull off miracles to help them.
Should that somehow happen, Georgia closes things out against the Vanderbilt Commodores this Saturday, and then they have a potential make-up game with the Missouri Tigers. Both of those should be wins, so don’t count these guys out just yet.
