Defeated Kentucky Wildcats 34-10

Yeah, that was cute. The Kentucky Wildcats gave the Florida Gators a fight for a half, and we all thought there was something legitimate about it. However, Florida didn’t just pull away in dominating fashion in the second half. They managed to cover the spread, which was insane. That’s how quickly this team can score.

Kyle Trask is in a fight with Mac Jones for the Heisman Trophy, and Kyle Pitts may be the best tight end in the nation. These guys are almost impossible to contain, and that’s not likely to change much going forward. What’s scary, though, is that they now have a defense, and their special teams can score. Simply put, they are a complete unit.

There’s a reason Florida is as much in the hunt for the College Football Playoff as anybody. They control their own destiny for it. However, now that we’re in the top tier of the league, we have to put them at No. 3, as their only loss is to the Texas A&M Aggies, another one-loss team.

There will be chances to move up, though. Assuming they hold off Tennessee football and the LSU Tigers the next two weeks, they’ll play for the SEC title, and if they win that game, they’ll shoot to the top of the league overnight.
