Tennessee football unchanged in Week 13 SEC Power Rankings
Defeated Auburn Tigers 42-13
It may be boring, but the Alabama Crimson Tide continue to be the best team in the SEC by a long shot. That injury to Jaylen Waddle in their win over Tennessee football didn’t slow them down at all, and Mac Jones still is one of the top two candidates for the Heisman Trophy race. Nick Saban’s team is loaded regardless of who they face.
Don’t forget that the Auburn Tigers were on somewhat of a role entering the game. They had an outside shot at the SEC West, and the offense was coming together with Bo Nix and Chad Morris. Alabama put that to rest easily.
That’s what this team has been doing all year. The Texas A&M Aggies are a top five team and looking to make the College Football Playoff, but they didn’t belong in the same class as the Alabama Crimson Tide.
It was no different for the Georgia Bulldogs, who looked invincible in the second half against the Arkansas Razorbacks along with Auburn and Tennessee football. The they ran into Bama and had a horrendous second half.
Simply put, this team is loaded and once again coasting through the league. However, it hasn’t locked up the West just yet. These guys need one more win. That could come this Saturday against the LSU Tigers, and they still will likely have a make-up game against Arkansas on Dec. 12, so they can’t relax yet.
