We’re finally out of the bottom tier of the SEC Power Rankings and on to the three-win teams. The Kentucky Wildcats are at the bottom of those three-win teams, though, as they are the only team to not actually beat a team out of the bottom tier. Their three wins are over the Vanderbilt Commodores, Mississippi State Bulldogs and Tennessee football. None are impressive.

Mark Stoops’ team had an impossible task from the start this year given what they had to replace and the nature of the schedule. However, it was still a disappointing season, as there was hope that this team could sneak its way to a winning record, especially after upsetting the Vols. Losses to the Ole Miss Rebels and Missouri Tigers proved costly. They let both games slip away.

Similar to the South Carolina Gamecocks, though, UK hasn’t had any games postponed this year due to COVID. The entire schedule went exactly as planed, and the Wildcats will face USC this Saturday in the season finale for both teams. That’s a chance for one more win to finish with a respectable 4-6 record, which wouldn’t be the worst thing given the nature of the season.
