Tennessee football unchanged in Week 13 SEC Power Rankings
Defeated Vanderbilt Commodores 41-0
Look at that! Eliah Drinkwitz’s team now has a winning record his first year on the job. They do have a bad loss, which came in the second week of the year to Tennessee football. However, their other losses are to the Alabama Crimson Tide and Florida Gators. There’s nothing to be ashamed of with either of those games.
On the other hand, Mizzou hasn’t just beaten the Vanderbilt Commodores. They also have wins over the LSU Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats, two mid-tier teams in our SEC Power Rankings. Add in a win over the South Carolina Gamecocks to get them over .500, and they clearly are now in a tier above those three-win teams in the league.
At the same time, though, they aren’t quite a top-tier team just yet. They’re barely above .500 with three of their four wins coming against the bottom five teams in the league. Still, this is a great first season no matter what happens the rest of the way.
What happens the rest of the way, though, is more opportunity. They make up their game with the Arkansas Razorbacks this week. Then they have make-up games with the Georgia Bulldogs and Mississippi State Bulldogs. That puts six wins on the table if all of them are played.
