Here is our Tennessee football Volunteers stock report after their win over the Vanderbilt Commodores.

It’s hard to say a win of any margin over the Vanderbilt Commodores would have boosted the stock for Tennessee football this past weekend. If there was ever a game to make aspects of the program have deceptively high value, it would be that 42-17 win that ended the Vols’ six-game losing streak and improved their record to 3-6 on the year.

Don’t forget that Vandy barely had 50 scholarship players playing in the game. A rash of opt-outs, transfers and injuries combined with interim head coach Todd Fitch leading the way in place of Derek Mason pretty much made it impossible to lose to this team in any way.

Still, there’s no doubt that plenty of positives came from that game, and although Jeremy Pruitt is under a lot of fire right now, he’s got a lot of building blocks for the future of the program. It shouldn’t have taken until the end of Year Three for that to happen, but Tennessee football at least has some positives going on at the moment.

How does that factor into our stock report on Rocky Top heading into UT’s final regular season game of the year against the Texas A&M Aggies? Honestly, there’s no real way of knowing right now, but it is pretty obvious where a few individuals and units belong.

As usual, our stock report will include stocks in the program that are up, stocks that are down, stocks to buy or stocks to sell. Anybody or an aspect of the program can be a stock, from a player to a position unit to a coach to any combination of those.

Plenty of stocks could be worth selling after this game, as many were deceptively good. What does that mean going forward? Well, let’s break that down here. This is our stock report for Tennessee football following Week 15 of the 2020 season and Week 12 of the SEC season.
