The Tennessee Lady Vols visit the Hoosiers in Bloomington, Ind. Here is our women’s basketball Volunteers preview.

After the cancelation of Sunday’s game at the Texas Longhorns, the Tennessee Lady Vols added a higher ranked team, still on the road, to their schedule later in the week. This afternoon, they’ll play that added game.

UT heads to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. to face the No. 15 ranked Indiana Hoosiers. Kellie Harper’s team last took the court a week ago today, beating the Furman Paladins in a 90-53 blowout. Meanwhile, Indiana last took the court two Sundays ago, just barely falling to the Kentucky Wildcats 72-68.

Last Saturday, the Hoosiers were set to face the Butler Bulldogs, but that game was also canceled. As a result, it benefitted both teams to add this game to their slates. Here is all the information you need for the Tennessee Lady Vols’ matchup.

Both UT and Indiana are similar in their resumes so far. They each have one loss that was on the road and their only game against a Power Five school. We already mentioned Indiana’s loss. The Lady Vols lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Under seventh-year head coach Teri Moran, this Indiana team returned four starters and all five leading scorers from last year’s program, which went 24-8 and 13-5 in the Big Ten. As a result, expectations are incredibly high for these guys.

Following this game, the Tennessee Lady Vols will return home to face the Jackson State Tigers on Sunday. Indiana, meanwhile, will begin conference play that same day, hosting the Nebraska Cornhuskers. UT won’t begin conference play until Dec. 31, when it visits the Texas A&M Aggies. They face Jackson State and then the Lipscomb Bisons on Dec. 28 before then.
