These former Tennessee football Volunteers are all playing in the postseason.

Once again, the NFL Playoffs feature numerous former Tennessee football players. There are 15 players on eight different teams and eight players on the active rosters of four different teams. Will any of them continue the Vols’ 11-year streak of at least one former player winning the Super Bowl? What contribution could they have, though, if that happens?

As we get set to rank the former UT players on NFL Playoff rosters based on how valuable they’ll be, that’s exactly what we’re breaking down. We will only rank players on active rosters. That means people like Los Angeles Rams Director of Player Engagement Jacques McClendon won’t be on this list. won’t name practice squad or injured reserve players.

We’re also excluding practice squad or injured reserve players like Nigel Warrior of the Baltimore Ravens, Tyler Bray of the Chicago Bears, John Kelly of the Cleveland Browns, Ethan Wolf of the New Orelans Saints Darrell Taylor of the Seattle Seahawks, or Trevor Daniel of the Tennessee Titans. Here are the eight other former Tennessee football players in the playoffs.

7th year in NFL

This is one of Dan McCullers’ least productive years ever since he arrived in the NFL. In his first season with the Chicago Bears after six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he played in only three games, starting in none of them.

McCullers has just eight tackles on the year, three of which were solo. The 6’7″ 352-pound defensive lineman hasn’t played a game since the Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers 41-25 back on Nov. 29.

In fact, Chicago has lost all three games he’s played in this year. Still, McCullers is on the active roster and could see action when the Bears play the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday. He’ll be seeing lots of other former Tennessee football players on the other side that day.
