Coming off arguably its most impressive win of the season against the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, Tennessee basketball is back on the road this week. The Vols will try to build on their two-game winning streak just as they are flirting with top 10 territory again.

Up first for Rick Barnes’ team, ranked No. 11 in the AP Poll and No. 10 in the Coaches Poll, is a trip to The Pavilion in Oxford, Miss. to take on the Ole Miss Rebels Tuesday night. This is UT’s first road game since they lost 75-49 to the Florida Gators two weeks ago.

Ole Miss comes into this game having lost two straight, falling to the Georgia Bulldogs and Arkansas Razorbacks, both on the road, last week. Here is all the information you need for Tennessee basketball’s matchup.

12-3 (5-3). ESPN2. 8-8 (3-6). Tennessee -3.5; Over/Under 124.5. 534. Tuesday, Feb. 2. 532. 7 p.m. ET

Live stream: WatchESPN

Radio: Vol Network; Ole Miss Radio Network

Listen online: UTSports; RebelVision

This is the first of a two-game road stand for Rocky Top, as the Vols will visit the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday. It’s the second of five straight nationally televised games either on ESPN or ESPN2, as they will face the Florida Gators and LSU Tigers on the networks next week.

In his third year on the job, Ole Miss head coach Kermit Davis is having trouble improving off last year’s 15-17 season. Losing last year’s leading scorer, Breein Tyree to graduation and another starter, Blake Hinson, to transfer has made things difficult.

However, Luis Rodriguez being back from a season-ending injury and the additions of transfers Romello White and Jarkell Joiner, the latter of whom transferred in 2019 but sat out last year, has helped this team stay competitive. They are 6-3 at home and did beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs by a much more significant margin than the Vols did.

Simply put, Tennessee basketball can’t take this game or this road trip lightly. Ole Miss and Kentucky are both nothing to gain and everything to lose games for them. After UT, Ole Miss will visit the Auburn Tigers on Saturday.
