4. Trequon Fegans

DB; Oxford, Ala.

We’ve broken down all the reasons Tennessee football desperately needs to upgrade all positions among the defensive backs. Cornerbacks, safeties and nickels will all be needed in the secondary over the next couple of years. Well, going to another neighboring state where there is some elite talent could certainly help with this issue.

Trequon Fegans out of Oxford High School in Alabama is one of the top prospects in that state and reportedly has no favorites at the moment. With Tim Banks and Willie Martinez back on Rocky Top, the Vols may have just the right connections to land him, although it must be admitted that Jeremy Pruitt’s staff was much better positioned to land elite talent out of Alabama.

Anyway, standing between 6’1″ and 6’2″ while weighing somewhere between 180 and 185 pounds, Fegans is another guy who list listed as cornerback across the board. He is also a four-star across the board, so he should provide elite help.

Given his size, Fegans is better positioned than most to be able to handle taller receivers on the outside. He should have all the tools to be a lockdown corner, and because of that, the Vols should do everything they can to get him to Rocky Top.
