Isaac Washington. 9. 839. Pick Analysis. Defensive lineman. Pilot Mountain, N.C.. player. Scouting Report

6’3″ 285 pounds

Although he’s not a walk-on, Isaac Washington could have been on that first page. Among Tennessee football’s scholarship true freshmen who have enrolled in the spring, he has by far the worst chance of anybody to play.

Washington is a three-star across all services who is also playing the position with the most depth and experience on the team. Taking those two factors into account, the product of East Surry High School in North Carolina already had a major uphill battle.

However, Washington is also suspended right now and being held out of spring ball since he was one of the four players who was arrested on drug charges related to a dorm room incident over two weeks ago. Taking that into account, he’s likely to fall even further behind on the depth chart, assuming he’s able to rejoin the team at any point.

If Washington gets the chance to practice in the spring, missing so much time combined with the depth at the position we’ll keep hi buried in the depth chart. As a result, there is not much of an opportunity for him to use this time to work his way into the rotation. He’ll probably have to take a redshirt this year no matter what.
