3.) New York Giants

General Manager Dave Gettleman gave first-year head coach, Joe Judge, a plethora of offensive lineman to work with last season. The former Carolina Panthers GM selected two offensive tackles and an offensive guard in the 2020 NFL Draft. Big offensive lineman, or “hog mollies” as Gettleman calls them, are still very much needed for the G-Men’s struggling offense.

This offseason, Big Blue aided Daniel Jones with more offensive weapons by signing Kenny Golladay and John Ross. While there are still holes to fill on the defensive side of the ball, it’s expected that some of their selections will once again be used towards fortifying the OL.

New York’s starting center, Nick Gates, did not allow a sack in 2020 and recently re-signed with the club through 2022. However, backup center Spencer Pulley will become an unrestricted free agent following the conclusion of the 2021 season. Besides those two names, the Giants don’t have anyone else listed at center.

Given Gettleman’s recent emphasis on New York’s offensive line and the team’s lack of depth at center, the Giants fill the description of a sleeper to select Kennedy in the later rounds. With two players already on the organization’s payroll through next season, the situation could bode well as a learning opportunity for the former Tennessee football snapper.
