4.) Houston Texans

Given their current situation, it’s pretty clear the Houston Texans are rebuilding in a big way. Drafting a deep-threat wide receiver is among the least of their worries. However, that could be why Palmer is the perfect fit to get his career started there, if Houston is willing to use a late-round pick on him.

The Texans just parted ways with Will Fuller, meaning they do have an opening at receiver. Brandin Cooks, however, is still on the team, and the 5’10” speedster will likely be the top playmaker in the passing game. However, Palmer would be a great complement to him, as he could be the deep threat and the hands guy on the other side.

A tandem of Cooks and Palmer could be just what the Texans need if they truly start over. If Deshaun Watson ends up not coming back, which seems pretty likely now, Tyrod Taylor may be the guy, and he could use somebody like Palmer.

On the other hand, if there are continued issues of quarterback play, Palmer already dealt with that with Tennessee football. That could turn into a major drawback for him. Either way, though, adding him could help Houston, and that gives his pro potential a chance.
