Bryson Eason, Byron Young discuss spring ball – Brent Hubbs, VolQuest

Junior college transfer early enrollee Byron Young and rising sophomore Bryson Eason have both been working as edge rushers and linebackers for the Tennessee Vols football team this spring. They spoke about the practices on Wednesday. Eason talked about his role in the new defense. Here’s a bit of what he said about the new practices.

"“It’s just a whole different kind of energy level out there. We’re out there competing and having fun and just going at each other with some friendly, good competition, so the vibe and the environment is just completely different from what it was last year and what I experienced.”"

Young talked about his transition and the reaction he has gotten from the new coaching staff. Here’s a bit of what he said on that front.

"“The feedback, it was mainly starting out with my technique, which I got way better with, but it was just giving me the knowledge they had, telling me I need to get my footwork way better and stop drop-stepping. So I adjusted to all that pretty well.”"
