Tennessee football: Where experts have all four Vols in 2021 NFL Draft
We’re one day away from the NFL Draft, and despite a 3-7 season, Tennessee football has a few players expecting to hear their names called at some point over the next three days. None of them are expected to go on Thursday, but a couple of them at least could be early rounders, and there is one early departure.
Experts have a wide range of takes on all four prospects from Rocky Top in the 2021 NFL Draft. Some have certain prospects ranging from the second to the fifth round, and others are ranging from the third to the seventh round. In this post, with the draft imminent, we’re going to break down what experts are saying about each player with those complications.
It’s clearly hard to predict where any of Tennessee football’s prospects will be taken in the draft. It’s hard to gauge individual talent from a losing team, even if that team did go up against elite SEC competition. This is what these Vols are having to deal with, but they did make the decision to enter the draft and not take advantage of the NCAA eligibility ruling.
As we break down these prospects, we’re going to rank them based on who’s in the best position to get drafted highest when the draft itself actually takes places. That’s not going to be just based on our analysis but what other experts are saying as well.
Obviously, many analysts only had one round when doing mock drafts, which renders their posts irrelevant here since nobody from UT is going in the first round. However, many of them did rankings, so we’ll include that plus mock drafts that went multiple rounds.
From ESPN to Fox Sports to CBS to magazines, let’s see where all four former Vols stand on the eve of the NFL Draft and their chances of having their names called. This is our breakdown of what they are saying about Tennessee football’s prospects.
