Tennessee baseball vs. Texas CWS live stream, game time, TV and radio info
After an upset 6-0 shutout loss to the Virginia Cavaliers in their College World Series opener Sunday, Tennessee baseball is in a win-or-go-home situation for its next outing. To make matters worse, the Vols have to face the one team in the whole event that was a higher overall seed after that team was upset as well on Sunday.
In a battle between UTs, Rocky Top, which was the No. 3 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, will take on the Texas Longhorns, the No. 2 overall seed in the tournament. These were the two highest seeds after the No. 1 seed Arkansas Razorbacks were upset by the N.C. State Wolfpack in the NCAA Super Regionals.
Texas comes into this game after a 2-1 upset loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. The loser will be eliminated from the College World Series altogether. Here is all the information you need for Tennessee baseball’s Tuesday matchup at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Nebraska.

Sunday was UT’s first game in the Omaha, Neb. event in 16 years. However, the Vols have now lost four straight CWS games dating back to 2001. That’s another drought beyond just the not reaching the CWS drought that existed before this year, and ending it would be huge.
The good news for the Vols is if they beat Texas, they become the highest seed in the CWS. On top of that, the Vanderbilt Commodores, the only other team in the event with a case to be seeded higher than UT, just lost to N.C. State. As a result, Vandy is also in the loser’s bracket and could be gone soon as well.
Simply put, there are numerous opportunities for Tennessee baseball if they can figure out a way to win this game. There have been numerous upsets throughout the event so far, and that gives fans every reason to believe in the Vols in this game.
After these two teams face off, MSU and UVA will take each other on. The loser of that game will face the winner of this game in an elimination matchup on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET. The winner of that game will face the winner of the MSU-UVA game Friday at 6 p.m. ET and, if necessary, Saturday at 6 p.m. ET as well.
