9. Georgia Bulldogs

Saturday, Nov. 13; Neyland Stadium; Knoxville, Tenn.

Sticking with circled losses in which there is a 0.00000001 percent chance of winning, we move on to the Georgia Bulldogs. Once again, this game is technically important because it’s an SEC East game and a so-called “rivalry” game. However, like the Florida Gators and Alabama Crimson Tide, it’s one Tennessee football has no shot at winning.

By the time this game rolls around, there’s a strong possibility that the Vols have been on a six-game losing streak. It’s a strong likelihood that they will have lost five out of six games to this point. Should that be the case, their focus will need to be on the final two games after this one, which we’ll get to later, in order to go bowling.

UGA coming to Neyland Stadium is the only reason we have this above Florida. It’s a bit more possible for the Vols to win this one in a shocker, even if it’s still mostly impossible. That slight increased possibility means UT should devote slightly more efforts to this game.

Once again, though, this is a circled loss and less important than even the circled wins outside of that Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles game. Beating UGA is not really in the cards for the Vols this year and shouldn’t be their focus as they try to make a splash Josh Heupel’s first season.
