839. 30. 833. Prediction. 31

Saturday, Nov. 6; Kroger Field; Lexington, Ky.

Earlier in the year, we had Tennessee football losing to the Pittsburgh Panthers as the one major disappointing loss. Everything else was expected. However, this is where the Vols make up for that loss and rejuvenate themselves in a big way. Last year, UT’s 34-7 loss to the Kentucky Wildcats began the downward spiral. That was an anomaly, though.

You have to look back on history to know that the Vols should always be favored against Kentucky. Remember 2018? They were 5-7 while UK was having its best season ever under Mark Stoops, a 10-3 year and a top 12 finish. Well one of those losses was a 24-7 loss to the Vols at Neyland Stadium. Simply put, the Vols on Kentucky traditionally.

This year, Rocky Top faces Stoops’ program after its much-needed bye. That bye is crucial to getting the players rested and will give them another week to pick up the schemes. As a result, the Vols will break 30 against a Stoops-led defense.

Kentucky will hit 30 as well, as UT’s defense will still be an issue. However, in a thriller in Lexington, the Vols get the win. Heupel’s offense with the Missouri Tigers put up 34 points against Stoops back in 2017. He’ll be able to break it again and score a huge upset win.
