Yes, there are two top 25 inderdivisional conference games in Big Ten play this week. Heck, this might be the best week all season for the league. After losing to Tennessee football in their first bowl appearance under Tom Allen to end the 2019 season, Indiana took a huge step forward in 2020 and finished with a 6-2 record.

This year, they will have to operate without defensive coordinator Kane Wommack. However, their offense was elite last year and returns everybody who was healthy. That makes for a lot of excitement heading into the year.

On the other side, the Iowa Hawkeyes are still going strong under Kirk Ferentz. They are also coming off a 6-2 campaign and looking to win the Big Ten West. It’s coming down to them and the Wisconsin Badgers again, and both teams have top 25 games this week.

Prediction

Indiana was flashy last year, but they couldn’t perform in the trenches. This Iowa team returns a ton of experience, and in Big Ten play, the trenches still determine the winner. As a result, Iowa will cover the of three and a half point spread.

Indiana has no chance against a physical team like them. This may actually be a blowout. IU has a poor pass defense, and Iowa will exploit it with returning quarterback Spencer Petras, so the game will also hit the over.
