NFL experience: 2nd year

Welcome to another projection for an undrafted player. Marquez Callaway is in his second year, but he’s with the New Orleans Saints, a team becoming famous for finding overlooked Vols. Callaway became a highlight reel this past preseason, and expectations are now there for him to emerge into a star in Sean Payton’s system.

Last year, Callaway had 21 catches for 213 yards. However, the departures of Emmanuel Sanders and Jared Cook have moved him up the depth chart some, and with more experience, he should take a major step forward this year.

With Drew Brees gone, Payton and co. are relying on Callaway to help bring Jameis Winston along. At 6’2″ 204 pounds, he is a true wideout. His college teammate, Jauan Jennings, may make this list next year after landing with the San Francisco 49ers’ active roster, but he’s one who will have to prove it on the field.

It’s crazy to think that those two, Josh Palmer and Jakob Johnson, a New England Patriots’ tight end, were all part of Tennessee football’s receiving corps. in 2016 and 2017. Josh Malone was there too, and he had a brief NFL stint. Simply put, that rotation was loaded, especially with Joshua Dobbs in 2016 throwing them the ball.
