No. 15 Texas Longhorns at Arkansas Razorbacks (ESPN)

Saturday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. ET; Razorback Stadium; Fayetteville, Ark.

Line: Texas -7; Over/Under: 56.5

Moneyline: Texas -265; Arkansas +210

By far the best SEC game of the night, the Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas Longhorns are about to renew their rivalry when Texas joins the SEC in the future. This is a great pre-conference rivalry game before that happens.

Arkansas has become under Sam Pittman what Tennessee football intended to become under Jeremy Pruitt. They are a tough, physical team, true to an offensive line coach, who still stays up with the times offensively. Last week’s 38-17 win over the Rice Owls could have been prettier, but they were likely looking ahead to this game.

Meanwhile, the Texas Longhorns are entering a new era under Steve Sarkisian. They made a splash last week with a win over the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, who were ranked in the top 25 despite being a Group of Five team. That’s given them a lot of hype heading into this game, and many fans in Austin already think they’re back.

Prediction

Arkansas’ home environment will be a bit too much for Texas to cover. People are overrating the Longhorns covering against a Group of Five team last week. The Hogs won’t just cover, but they’ll win, and they’ll do it with defense, so this game hits the under. Of those three bets, though, your best is to bet on Arkansas covering.

Arkansas: 21 Texas: 17 (Arkansas +7; Under 56.5)
