Last week: Defeated Tulane Green Wave 61-21

Face it. The Ole Miss Rebels are good. Tennessee football fans have to think about the fact that they could have enjoyed this offense with Lane Kiffin had Kiffin not bailed on them over a decade ago. What they did to the Tulane Green Wave is insane. Remember, Tulane came within five of the Oklahoma Sooners, so this dominance is incredible.

You have to start talking about Matt Corral as a Heisman Trophy candidate. The defense is also much better this year, and that makes the Rebels a very dangerous team. It’s easy to see them winning 10 or 11 regular season games this year.

Also, Ole Miss’ resume is impressive overall. Although one of their wins is an FCS win over the Austin Peay Governors, their win over the Louisville Cardinals is a win over a Power Five team that has won every game since. Simply put, they have proven a lot.

Now, though, they get their real chance to prove their worth. Kiffin’s team has a bye this Saturday before getting the chance to face his former boss in Nick Saban as they visit Alabama this week. The Rebels put up a fight last year. Even beyond them, though, they have another key game the next week, the week before visiting Tennessee football, at the next team on this list.
