At this point, it’s obvious that Georgia beating the Clemson Tigers 10-3 is more impressive than Alabama blowing out Miami. Now, Alabama beating Florida is more impressive than UGA beating South Carolina. However, we can’t prove how much more impressive yet.

Hey, South Carolina is an SEC team just like Florida, and they were 2-0 before facing Georgia last weekend, just as Florida was 2-0 before facing Bama. Overall, Florida was a more impressive team since they blew out two FBS teams while USC beat an FBS team, barely, and an FCS team. But that’s not a significant difference. Meanwhile, UGA blew out USC.

Simply put, for now, Kirby Smart’s team sits atop our SEC Power Rankings. It makes sense too. By every recruiting metric over the past four years, Georgia should be as talented as Alabama now, and they have to start acting. like it. Of course, Alabama isn’t the only team they have to beat this year either.

Up next for the Dawgs is a trip to Vanderbilt, but then they have to host Arkansas, visit Auburn and face Florida over a four-game period. Kentucky is between Auburn and Florida, and Missouri and Tennessee football are after Florida, so that four-game stretch will define their season.
