Joining Theo Jackson is the other guy who leads Tennessee football with him with one and a half sacks, Tyler Baron. Last Saturday, Baron finally got some help, as junior college transfer Byron Young received his eligibility to play. That adds another element to the Vols’ pass rush, but make no mistake, Baron is the top edge rusher on the team right now.

In addition to his sacks, he’s second on the team in tackles for a loss with four. Baron is great coming off the edge or shifting to the inside to stop the run, and that will be key. His versatility is the biggest reason he makes this list.

Honestly, the whole defensive line will be critical. Matthew Butler and Aubrey Solomon have shown their ability to get a push in the middle, but the biggest key to beating Florida is off the edge. Just last week, Alabama’s Will Anderson Jr., who would be a defensive end in the Vols’ system, had two tackles for a loss.

There’s a chance that Young, Ja’Quain Blakely or even somebody like LaTrell Bumphus makes the standout plays up front. However, all signs point to Baron being the guy most likely to do it if somebody steps up.
