Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Redshirt junior. Emory Jones. player. Quarterback. 3. 840

6’2″ 211 pounds; Hometown: LaGrange, Ga.

Again, Florida’s rushing attack is the story, and that involves the quarterbacks as much as the running backs. Emory Jones has a major issue with interceptions this year, as he has thrown five while only throwing two touchdown passes, but he’s still Florida’s one quarterback who is fully healthy, and in Dan Mullen’s offense, that makes him a big deal.

Outside of the touchdown to interception ratio, Jones has done everything else right. He has completed 48 of 76 passes (63.2 percent) for 458 yards (6 yards per attempt). Although Anthony Richardson has two touchdowns and no picks, he’s only thrown 11 passes. To be fair, he has completed six of them for 192 yards, so he’s averaging 17.5 yards per attempt.

In this way, Jones is similar to Malik Davis in that Richardson could have replaced him on this list. However, Jones is more proven and will see more touches. He’s second on the team in rushing, to Richardson, with 42 carries for 231 yards (5.5 yards per carry) and two touchdowns.

It’ll be extremely tough for Tennessee football to continue its success at stopping the run with Jones, Richardson and Davis all in there, but they’ll have to do whatever it takes. Keying in on Jones is the start.
