Week 4 of the 2021 college football season and Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season both begin today, and it’ll be the first set of football games played with fall officially underway. The Tennessee Vols may not play until Saturday, but that’s still exciting.

Our morning update on Rocky Top, though, for the second straight day, involves a lookahead to 2022. In this case, it deals with UT game tickets. We also have more coverage of Saturday’s football matchup with the Florida Gators to bring you, including another press conference.

There are two events scheduled to begin today that we will cover as well in women’s soccer and men’s tennis. As the first weekend of fall draws near, things continue to be more exciting. Let’s dive into today’s coverage.

Vols to update ticket sales process for 2022 – UTSports

On Wednesday, the Tennessee Vols athletic department announced a plan to modernize ticket sales. UT will reduce season-ticket prices but also end the “umbrella system,” where donations in one sport lead to season-tickets in other sports.

"The impending changes stem from several months of thoughtful analysis and consideration of fan feedback, including requests to create a more equitable and affordable pricing model throughout Neyland Stadium. Similar fan input led to the development of multiple new and exciting fan experience amenities/renovations set to debut next football season."
