Tennessee football: Week 4 SEC and top 25 picks and bets
Without anything to bet on for Tennessee football last week, you made tons of money if you came here for your picks. I was perfect outright and and on the moneyline while hitting 63.1 percent on my other gambling picks for my Week 3 predictions, with one push, based on the WynnBET betting odds.
Week 3 performances
- Outright: 13-0
- Moneyline: 8-0; +$407 profit if $100 bet on every game (+67%)
- Gambling record: 12-7-1 (9-1 against the spread; 3-6-1 over/under)
For the year, our moneyline picks would make almost at $1,000 profit if you bet $100 on every game. We’re at just over 57 percent with two pushes on our other gambling picks, so the money is rolling in right now.
2021 overall performances
- Outright: 40-5
- Moneyline: 25-4; +$965 profit if $100 bet on every game (+33.3%)
- Gambling record: 40-30-2 (24-12 against the spread; 16-18-2 over/under)
This week, Tennessee football plays one of five games with two SEC teams, and seven of those teams are playing their first SEC game. Three teams have non-conference games, and the Ole Miss Rebels have a bye. Two non-conference top 25 games give us 10 games overall. Here are our Week 4 SEC and top 25 picks and bets.
Gambling odds
- Line: Missouri -1.5
- Over/Under: 58
- Money line: Missouri -125; Boston College +105
In their second year under Jeff Hafley, the Boston College Eagles are 3-0 but have played no Power Five teams and one FCS teams. Their opponents are a combined 1-8 so far this year. The Missouri Tigers were tested by the Kentucky Wildcats last week, but UK looks overrated after struggling with the Chattanooga Mocs.
Mizzou struggled with the Central Michigan Chippewas and had an unimpressive win over the Southeastern Missouri State Redhawks, so they bring many questions. Hafley and Eliah Drinkwitz are trying to build off solid first years, going 6-5 and 5-5 respectively in 2020. It’s looked harder for Mizzou so far, and they may no longer even be a likely loss for Tennessee football.
Prediction
Playing the Temple Owls last week allowed BC to mask Dennis Grosel’s issues in the wake of quarterback Phil Jurkovec’s likely season-ending injury. Mizzou has forced four interceptions this year and will force a couple more here. That will allow them to cover and prevent BC from scoring enough, so take Mizzou and the under.
Missouri: 31 Boston College: 24 (Missouri -1.5; Under 58)
